Chat with a Future Full-Time "Gekko" Analyst
Aggressively Nosy Peer: What happened with your "Gekko" iBanking offer? I thought you were going there full-time.
Me: Think of "Gekko" as Miss Wisconsin. She is great. Our relationship caught the attention of Miss World, and she jealously asked me out. Of course, I obliged.
Aggressively Nosy Peer: What!? Who did you interview with at "Gekko"? How did you leverage your IB offer for a PE shop?
Me: Honestly, Miss Wisconsin recently won Miss USA and asked Aaron Rogers out. We are now both happily getting laid. What's the point of stirring the pot again?
Aggressively Nosy Peer: Okay. Want to get dinner?
Me: No. See you latter.

Aceing Your Investment Banking Phone Interview
As applicants increase, so does number of phone interviews. Often, if you live in a different location than you are applying to, or if the banker is traveling, you may be asked to participate in interviews by phone. Moreover, if you attend a “non-core” university or are a “core” candidate who missed the on-site interviews, all first rounds will be held via phone call.  Personally, I consider...

As Mitt continues campaigning for the highest political office in the United States, rivals and media groups attempt to negatively frame his years of private equity experience as the founder of Bain Capital. Today I present counterpoints, and along the way, you may find reasons for loving Mitt too. Opponents usually begin by framing the...

3 E-Commerce Startup Ideas
A while back, I posted 3 of my mobile phone (application) startup ideas. I personally think there is a greater opportunity for entrepreneurs to create disruptions in the mobile market than web; however, I think the two are very related. The e-commerce arena is filled with fierce competitors and the corpses of those who failed (e.g., Pets.com). On the other hand, the industry giants (e.g.,...

Today, investment banking remains a highly lucrative career option for young professionals. Over the years, competition for these roles has become downright ferocious, with candidates spending hours preparing for interviews and networking to join selective analyst classes at banks.
